JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Engineering position requires strong people, project management, and excellent communications skills to the engineering team along with extensive experience in design, machining techniques and fabrication practices of skid mounted precision rotating ASME code stamped pressure vessels and hydraulic equipment for the chemical, food, pharmaceutical and petro chemical industries.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for compliance with the ASME Code and all aspects of public safety and technical leadership.
Project review, approval, and supervision of all Mechanical Engineering activities.
Cost cutting manufacturing and design analysis.
Seismic analysis of equipment and structures in compliance with structural building codes UBC, ASCE & NBC.
Design and fatigue analysis per ASME Section VIII Div.

Responsible for qualifying complex pressure Vessel designs with FEA and strain gage testing.
Responsible for process piping design in compliance with B31.
3, 31.
1 BPE, and AP1.
Write and streamline manufacturing plan.
Design of hydraulic-electrical systems with quick opening closures.
Responsible for the PLC control programming for pneumatic-electrical process systems.
Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
